Beulah fly rods and fly logic fly rods
Can I get people's input on these two rod companies and their products? Ever use them? What did you think? They seem to have fairly well known "pros" advising them on rod construction, but I hate to take a flier. Would love to hear what people have to say.

The Pro's are under contract to "endorse" the product for an annual fee or commission on sales.
Clues = "World Class", "developed for use by Professional Guides",
Marketing to the newbe FF.
The USA address is very close to R.B. Meiser who is a custom rod builder for many years. Meiser was using rod blanks from New Zealand however, not at the Beulah pricing level. I would be very surprised if these rods were not assembled in the Far East and Imported to USA and UK for marking under Beulah name.

Not familiar with Beulah, but we used to be a FlyLogic dealer, and we aren't anymore, if gives you an inkling of what we think about FlyLogic. In the $100-200 range, Temple Fork is pretty much the best in most people's opinions whom I respect- take magazine reviews with a grain of salt, I find many of them totally off base. In the higher price points, it's hard to beat a Sage, although some might vote for Loomis or Winston, and I wouldn't argue the point. I just don't think FlyLogic is a progressive company that really is on the pulse of what people want. They started out decent, but I don't think they understand the market and what fishermen really want. There are better rods out there for the same money.

Beulah rolls their blanks in China. From communicating with the head of Fly Logic, they are focusing on their two apparell companies, aqua design and the other one can't remember, and aren't do anything with their rods. Seems the Dec Hogan switch/spey rods was their last innovation. Anyway, just an update. I guess don't count on them for anything other than what they've already produced.
