Musky-Hampton Park and upstream 6/6
I was able to fish the Musky today. BlackLabel's vladis arrived just in time and I was bound and determined to catch some fish on them. There was not a whole lot of water in the area where I could short-line but eventually I found an oold dam that had been removed upstream from the park. The water was tea colored when I first got on the river but it started clearing up quickly and by the time that I quit fishing one could definately see the bottom in about 3-4 feet of water. The volume remain the same though, running fast and high. (I never fished here before but judging from the weeds on the bank it was high) I fish upstream like I said, not finding any good water to fish but after 2 flyfishers left the old dam I moved in. I fished a nice run that was in the shade of the far bank and found some fish there. I hooked 5 but only netted 2. All five fish did take the vladi anchor I was using. Here are the 2 that did not get away:

This stockie inhaled the vladi, you can barely see the head of it coming out of his mouth. I think he's been in the creek for a while with that rich color on him.
