There's bear in them der woods......

2 days ago a black bear cub was photograph on the road that runs along the creek where I fish in Phillipsburg. I was actually in the creek fishing while this was going on. I know exactly where that is. Where there are cubs, there is normally a momma, and I don't want to be any where near either!

Too much development going on up on Scott Mountain. The poor things don't have anywhere to go. On a sidenote, the same day in a neighboring township, a woman's chihuaha (little dog, I suck at spelling) was carried off by a coyote. The saying is true, Welcome to New Jersey, where the weak are killed and eaten....lol

OK, now its really getting crazy. This just came over the local news broadcast. A bull escaped from Phillipsburg HS's barnyard day today, swam across the Delaware to Easton PA and was last seen making its way to Lafayette College. No bullshit (pardon the pun)

I came way too close for comfort with a black bear and her cubs last year on the farmington. The momma was swimming accross the boneyard towards the opposite bank, then two cubs entered the water on my side of the river no more than 50ft away. You know how they say don't run when you see a bear, well I ran...fast lol
