Get those dry flies that you have tying ready
the last few times that i have fly fished i have seen trout rising. yesterday there were quite a few fish on top in one spot... including some really nice fish. if you are dying to dry fly fish and you see a splashy rise chances are thatfish can be caught on the surface. just tie on a hendrickson emerger and cast repeatedly where you saw the trout rise. many of these surface feeding trout this time of year are quite opportunistic and will come up to a properly presented fly. you can even get awaywith using 4x this time year. the trout arent so dry fly educated yet... just the way i like it!

Dry fly season 2009
Missed The Henny's and Blue Quill's Both In Nj and Ny.
What Did the heat force them to Hatch in the middle of the night?
Seen a few blue quills the one day but other then that the freaking hatch didnt happen! Gosh darn it I must of tied a dozen of each in one night for the hatch that was a total miss! Ah I like the March browns better anyways, heading back up to the east branch thurs to beat some big bows up!
