I spent some time tying flies this afternoon. some of the flies that I tied were size 18 midge in fire red. while I was putting the finished flies in my fly box using tweezers for the small ones one of the midge's popped out of the tweezers and went flying. Being that I was tying at the kitchen table I needed to find this fly so my wife didn't end up with it in her foot. Well me my wife and my son spent quite a bit of time with flashlight trying to find this little basted with no success. I took a trip to the bathroom to do some business and on the way out took a look in the mirror to see my beautiful face and low and behold there it was that little midge was hiding in my mustache. We all got a big laugh out of it so I thought I would pass it along.

Imagine what else you would find in there if you shaved it.... there might be a stonefly in there ;)
I got a hook in my foot while I was sleeping there other night! It was a bitch taking it out while I was half asleep. I was attached to my comforter!

One might grimace at this one---I have a friend who was sitting in the cabin at night and tying flies in his skivvies. He was tying some nymphs & midges in size 20's. He had a spill of a 50 box of Tiemcos hooks in his lap. He thought he had picked them all up, NOT! When he went to drop his skivvies to take a shower, his scream froze us all---yep you guessed correctly :o---it took an embarrassing number of minutes armed with a pair of forceps and tweezers to remove two hooks kind of tangled in "hair". His current nickname is not reproduced here for obvious reasons. He still doesn't laugh every time we mention this occurrence, but we do. (snicker) 8) "Doc"

Now that's some funny shit. I cannot beat that story. I got my sock hooked to my foot by a #24 hook, and I was trying to pull my sock off, not knowing or understanding why it was stuck. Didn't hurt at all, I finally figured it out and popped the hook out and got my sock off. Man, I would hate to have my skivys hooked to my "privates", ouch, ouch, and ouch. :o
