Frying Pan River 4/11/2007
we made the drive from the taylor to the frying pan in blizzard like conditions. it took almost 5 hours. we arrived at the toilet bowl and it really is a toilet bowl. however the mother load of trout is there. alex and i caught over 60 trout btween the both of us. i caught a brown which was all of 5 pounds and alex got one that was four at least. as it got darker it was a fish on every cast. lots of fun. we are going back to try some of the downstream water today, it wasnt too scenic at the toilet bowl. almost every fish was caught on a mysis shrimp pattern. countless fish were lost due to the smaller hooks. there must be a thousand fish in there. we will put pics up tonight.

i will post a picture of the fly when i get back. unfortunately we dont have mysis shrimp at home. these trout here get big eating the shrimp that get washed out of these reservoirs. in nj and even the east for that matter we dont have this type of fishing because of the lack of food to support these monsters. we will try to have pics of the fish up asap. we are running out of gas ;D ;D we are going to pass out. i am just trying to answer questions and get back to people but tomorrow i should have pics up.
