SA Clear Tip Streamer Express for flats streamer fishing
I really enjoy using the Rio 24' DC sink tip and SA Streamer Express 250 grain lines for streamer fishing in rivers. They handle and cast great and get down to the fish quick.
I am thinking about getting a SA Streamer Express line with a 30' clear intermediate tip for fishing shallows on lakes and flats in rivers. I have heard it is a great line for throwing streamers into water 4' or less. I am thinking it would be a great line for throwing streamers over weed beds as well.
Any thoughts.

That intermediate tip would be great for the flats. You can pick it up quickly to make casts to moving fish. I would venture to say that the scenario that you describe in lakes might be more suitable for a floater and a weedles fly. You could use the sink tip for submerged weedbeds. I can say that from fishing lakes for trout and large weedbeds. I use the floating line even when making subsurface presentations especially when fishing along shorelines.
I hope this helps you out.
