Just wondering if any one has found waders that will hold up without leaking for more than 1/2 season of fishing?
I have a pair of Cloudveil 8X PRO waders and it seems like (No i have to send them in about every 2 or 3 months) because the booties start leaking in the seams. I am always very carfull when I put them on to make shure the booties are clean and there is nothing in my boots.
How do the simms waders hold up?
I dont mind spending 450.00 on waders if they would last for say 2 or 3 seasons but every 2 months is a little ridiculous.
On a good note the Cloudveil people are treating me well I have no complaints about the company just the waders. I actually like the waders they fit my build very good.

Re: Wader question
I got the Simms G-3 waders this spring and I can tell you they are better than the last few pairs of Simms waders. I have had them for 4 months and they don't leak! I have worn them over 100 times so that says a lot.

Re: Wader question
I second Aaron's praise of the Simms waders. I bought a 2007 version Guide pair this spring and have worn them about 30 times, including some serious thorny bushwacking along the Farmington. They do not leak and I consider them quite durable.

Re: Wader question
I have worn the same pair of Cabelas Dry Plus waders for 3+ years. They just started to leak last week. I keep them in my car all the time. I fish 12 months a year at least once a week in all kinds of weather. They are comfortable and for what I paid for them a real bargin.

Re: Wader question
There are 3 reasons why i do not care for Cabela's
A: The people who work there usually do not have a clue about fly fishing
B: They get to keep the SALES TAX that YOU pay. They do not pay it to the state.
C: They are not much less in price than a fly shop. Look around for sales of you like but purchase it from a fly shop as this is the place that you visit/call when you need REAL information from REAL people.
Is the guy in Hartford going to be able to help you with a trip to fish Colorado, Montana.... etc?
BTW... Ron how is the SRAA doing?
