Tody i went to the farmington with paul restuccia a man i met at Aaron's clinic . I caught two salmon which were annoying at times but it was great to catch something on my own tied leaders .I also had a trout on after paul showed me how to use a two fly rig which was really efefective. . I cant weait to get my first trout because i know i can.

Your getting closer kid! Keep going. Aaron once told me,"one trout will turn into 5 maybe on the next trip, then possibly 10 on the trip after that." Just concentrate on getting that first one under your belt. You have a lifetime of knowledge and experience to gain and look forward to. Good going on the salmon parr. It shows your technique is kicking in.

The next time you have one of those pesky Salmon on your line be aware this past weekend my 12 year old son had one on and as he was bringing it in it turned into a 19.5" brown trout. The brown never let go of the salmon untill it was in the net.

It's amazing how crazy those trout will get for the salmon parr. I think the catch rates are lower with the nymphs for that reason. The parr are only four inches this year so most of the browns in that river can eat them. I was in the TMA a while back and had at least 6 different browns trying to get one that I had hooked.
