I don't remember posting up a dating board... ;)

I can fish in the evening. I was thinking of going to the Bushkill and planting myself in a small section and giving it hell! There aren't a ton of fish in there and they can be quite spooky. I can point you to some sections that are good there as well. That would be good practice water for me.

Dating Board.
I have a love and passion for nature and now a renewed love for fishing, fly fishing to be exact. I never had a grandfather or father that either had the knowledge and skill set to hand down to me fly fishing experience. Everything I learned about the art I learned by watching DVDs, reading the internet, a ton of books, hooks in the ear, and blatantly staring at people that almost know what they are doing. I can totally relate.
I live less than 3 miles from TCO. They are great guys, and some are willing to answer endless questions and are very kind to help. But, quite honestly I can not afford a couple lessons, clinics, etc. (Although, my wife let me take a tying lesson, and because of simple economics and info, it was very worth it.)
I get it "lineman", and I would offer to meet with you, and do, but I am afraid I would not be a very good mentor yet. Although, I am practicing on my wife. :)

No offense, I just get it. If it wasn't for sites like this, I would still be throwing Adams flies around and getting worked up because of no trout. Then doing what I always had before, poppers for bass and pan fish. Because at least I would see some action. A mentor, how ever you can get one, is incredibly valuable. Of course, I could have mis-read the entire thing and maybe was looking for some companionship. But "show me some ropes...". I am doing pretty well, at least compared to my own past. But think of the learning I could have had, had I had a human around.
And let me tell you, State College, PA is a tough place to experiment! :) It seemed like everyone knew what they were doing except me. That is why I spent JAN, FEB, MARCH, APR in Class A streams and tribs with no names and not jumping around the Tulpehocken and French, etc... until I felt I was a little less ignorant. To my dismay, many of the people around me in some of those streams seemed to be just as "bad".
Living and learning, and always appreciating a wise word of advise.
