The guide trips the last few weeks have been great. Mostly rainbows both holdovers from the fall and fresh fish. We even caught one brown which I am sure was of wild origin. The fish are starting to spread out and learn what the food that they should be eating is. Yesterday (Saturday) was great for John and Justing. John never fly fished before and landed over a dozen trout throughout the day. He loved the rainbows. When we drifted the TMA he said "how do you know they are hooked" I guess you don't know when all you have been hooking are hard fighting rainbows for your first fly fishing experience. http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...vyapril005.jpg http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q...vyapril008.jpg
Very nice, what a great weekend of fishing. What a way to introduce a newcomer to our sport!

Did you encounter any of the survivor strain browns which were released this week?

Magnet,
On the Farmington we caught quite a few of the two year old tagged fish.
I think John is hooked and can't wait to go again!

Its pretty awesome to bring someone into fly fishing by sharing that kind of a fishing experience with him. Sometimes all it takes is a good guided trip to ignite a life long passion. Your a good ambassador for our sport.

Got to fish with the boys a couple times throughout the day. The evening spot was killer. Man those fish fought like heavyweights. I've never caught a stocked fish that slugged it out like that. They'd go aeiral, then spend a good deal of time shaking their heads underwater, flexing those shoulder muscles. Greta time. Beautiful fish. Had a great day for my first visit to the Hous. Thanks for the help Aaron!
