I just bought a pair. Upon delivery and use, I'll post a complete report here. FR & R just rated this type of sole as best all-around, we will see.

Despite Torrey's and HRO's strenuous efforts, it's impossible for me to get these shoes at this time (in April something closely related will be available from Simms). Since I require something now, I opted for the Korker's Streamborn Wading Boot instead with the rubber studded soles (not aquastealth, although it is available). I am looking for a boot sole less-prone to snow/ice buildup. I will instead review the Korkers in a separate topic. Thanks again Torrey!

Plan on getting me a pair of felt soled Riversheds in July or August. I like to have 2 pairs of boots to keep wear and tear to a minimum. Plus, I want them for my Montana trip in September. I think those boots are the nicest pair of Simms boots out. I also like what they have done to the Guide boot and the Freestone which I had a pair of each and both boots were nice. The Guide boot, when it came out, could have been made with more stability but it was a nice light boot. The improvements look and sound great.
