Tying Instructions:

Size #12 Tiemco 100 hook

Dark brown dubbing

Ginger hackle (Or brown or a darker tan)

Black thread

2 stripped hackle stems

Hareline Web Wing materal

Black and brown permanent markers

First, get your thread wrapped on the hook.  Wrap backwards toward the hook bend.  Then, tie in your ginger hackle.  Now, apply your dubbing to the thread.  Just make sure you don't over-dub the body and make it fat and bulky.  Now, dub forward towards the hook eye approx. 3/4 way up.  After that, wrap your hackle forward over the dubbed body.  Take your scissors and clip the top portion of the hackle barbs off so the top part of your fly is flat and the hackle is only on the sides and bottom.  DON'T CLIP THE SIDE HACKLES.  Now, cut a triangular piece of Web Wing.  Cut wing to size of fly.  The wing should extend over the hook bend by approx. 1/4 of the fly's body.  Now, cut a half circular notch in the bottom end of the piece of web wing.  Take your black and brown markers and make semi wide marks on the wing.  I like to use equal amounts of brown and black.  Then, fold in half.  You should have what looks like a nice caddis wing.  Now, take the wing, and tie the top portion in where the dubbed body stops.  It should lay straight back over the body.  Now take your stripped hackle barbs.  Make sure they are 2 to 2 1/2 times the body length.  Color both with the black marker.  Tie them in next.  Make several wraps around the hackle barbs.  The bulk from the barbs gives this fly a nice head.  Then carefully tie in two half hitches under the barbs at the hook eye and snip your thread.  Apply head cement and your done.
